PRODUCTION INFORMATION

Says co-producer Lulu Serious: "On Mr ACCIDENT Yahoo started with the central premise that a space ship had crashed millions of years ago and was buried in the earth. Then in 2000 Roger Crumpkin (Yahoo's character) stumbles across it. It developed from there."

Says Yahoo: "For me Mr ACCIDENT is a surreal trip in a 'Buster Keaton on speed' disguise. How does a dumb guy like Roger Crumpkin cope with being the unsuspecting guinea pig of a global corporation when he's still having major problems getting his toaster to work properly? It seems people today are struggling to cope with human relationships in a world where they're constantly bombarded with information and marketing overload. We're expected to daily jettison common sense to make space for downloading the latest flashy consumer items"

Says Lulu: "The character of Roger Crumpkin springs from real life, from things that have actually happened, mostly to Yahoo, he's so clumsy. Mr ACCIDENT would be a great title for a documentary about a day in the life of Yahoo!"

The creative process of refining the story and particularly the comedy continues into filming and editing. Says Roach: "It's always a challenge keeping up with Yahoo's ideas - he has so many!" Yahoo's closest collaborator from original idea to the movie's release is co-producer Lulu Serious. Lulu says: "Yahoo doesn't need much sleep and seems to live on the adrenaline of creative hits. He is very definite about his intentions during each day of production yet delights in impromptu creative collaboration with each group of artists be it writing, acting, designing sets or composing music. A meticulous planner he's always focussed on the moment but loves the challenge of an evolving concept, of running with the idea. In fact it's that spontaneity as both an actor and director that makes Yahoo so individual."

Sunday Valentine and Roger Crumpkin accidentally fall for each other.
