PRODUCTION INFORMATION

Music Composer Nerida Tyson-Chew worked closely with director Yahoo Serious while composing the original score for 'Mr. Accident'. Says Nerida: "Yahoo has very definite and wide ranging musical concepts which he roughs into each part of each scene so we had a detailed creative springboard for collaboration." Says Yahoo: "Nerida is fantastically open to being highly experimental. She'd laugh out loud whenever we hit on some unorthodox way of using orchestration, or choir, or lyrics to enhance a shift from romantic comedy to terror or satire." Inspired by her first viewing of Mr ACCIDENT, Nerida stayed up until dawn composing the haunting 'Universally lonely' love theme which takes Roger from his tragic childhood and delivers him as a transformed person at the movie's climax.

Before orchestral composer Nerida Tyson-Chew came on board, the movie's score already featured a melange of styles from jazz, blues and classical to 'Spiderbait', 'Sonic Animation', 'You Am I', '28 Days' and latin dance tracks like 'Hot hot hot' and 'Mambo UK'. Loving the classic music of the Audrey Hepburn movie 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', co-producer Lulu Serious, had long ago made the romantic lyricism of Henry Mancini's 'Moon River' song an integral part of Mr. Accident.

Says Ross: "Roger Crumpkin is a complete incompetent, a misfit who somehow against all odds, succeeds. I think the audience will secretly laugh at a part of themselves in Roger."

Says Lulu: "Yahoo's a life affirming movie maker who celebrates humanity, subverts authority and simply enjoys having fun with the audience."

Says Yahoo: "Film is about conjuring illusions and creating worlds. We like to throw up completely impossible, fantastical images like transforming the Opera House into the Big Egg factory and just say: What about that! The film making process is such a massive collision of so many different art forms that you can never really be sure what you're making, but I think my stuff is a kind of roller-coaster ride of magic reality."
